When should we get the tuxes?

We went in to pick out tux styles in June 2019, so 4 months before hand. Our tux line (Collin's formal ware) told us to get everyone measured by 2 months out so they could start alterations, get the suits ready.

Some places may advocated to start earlier, but I think 4 months is good.

We went to Moore's for custom suits in January 2019 and picked out the material and all they had to do was make the payment for the suits to be ordered by like 4 or 5 months before the wedding (October).

Im doing mine in about a month or two and our wedding is in aug. the earlier the better its just another thing off your list of things to do!

Renting tuxes time ahead to arrange of 2 weeks time. This way all the men have the right fitting 1 week in advance and picked up 1-2 days prior.

I’m super type A so I asked FH to get it organized now. If you’re buying you need more time definitely, especially if you’re doing a custom tux.


He ended up renting because it’s significantly cheaper and I feel better because now everything is in order ready to go!
