When is too early to book hair and makeup?

I totally understand your fear with covid and small businesses. However, I did think about it and if you get a stylist's personal number their is a chance you could book them individually - I'm sure they'd be happy to have work if the salon itself went under. But the deposit is definitely a stressful thing - definitely a conversation that needs to had.

I am always a big fan of booking early. One thing I would keep in mind though with covid is the hardship that it’s placing on small businesses. I’m concerned to put a deposit down with it being so far away. What if the company goes out of business and you lose your deposit? (I’m getting married in November 2022).

We decided to push our wedding back by a year in November 2020. Shortly after I booked my hair stylist for our October 2022 wedding, and booked my MUA in January of this year. I wanted to make sure I got the artist and stylist that I wanted. Never too early, especially since your date is prime wedding season.

I'm getting married April 2022 and I hope to finalize my hair and make up plans by next week. I certainly don't want to lose out on a top pick because I thought time was on my side. With COVID at play, I'm not sticking to the suggested timeline for when to do things. If I can do it now, I will (without rushing, if that's at all possible.

Im getting married in May 2022 and we booked ours already! When I was reaching out multiple MUAs were already booked for our date!

I booked hair today for September 2021. I already reached out to someone else and they were fully booked. I would do it right away.

I would also say its not too early to book! With everything going on, it's better to book early to secure the vendors you want than risk them not being available!

It's never too early to book! I booked for my August 8 2020 back in May 2019. Unfortunately we did have to postpone until August 7 2021 but we're lucky my makeup artist was abel to switch to our new date with no hassle!

It's better to book things early then later since they do fill up dates very fast!

Never too early!! I booked my hair and makeup for our August 2021 wedding in June 2020. With weddings in a bottleneck of sorts over the next couple of years, I'd start looking now!!
