Whats the going rate for wedding planners ?

It depends what services you go for. My planner does everything from full planning, to help with design to just helping pick out a venu. I would suggest finding a few who have good reviews, meeting with them and discussing what they offer, what your looking for and pricing. I hired mine for full planning amd it was the best money i have spent so far.

In our search we found day/month of services for as little as 1K, and as much as 4K.

I guess it all depends on what you’re willing to do yourself and what you’ll really need help with.

We were planning for a day of planner but decided to go with one we really connected with who offers decorating/design as part of full planning. So we ended up upgrading to full planning bc in the long run it’ll give us the most value. It’ll be an out of town weekend celebration so I’m relieved to have an opportunity to relinquish control, and just enjoy the process.

Our planner is just day of services but does take over the month before the big day with all of the finances and keeping the vendors in order. She has also been a god send through the whole planning process, even though she literally is only signed up for the day of. She helped us find a new decorator as we just had to let ours go and has been there to answer any questions we've had since getting engaged.

For wedding day management she starts at $1500.

Ive reached out to people who are just completing their certificates and education for wedding planning - and offered to allow them use anything for their portfolios and to provide feedback, written letter of recommendation, & online reviews. I would offer less for their services but I know theres high value in the things i would give back knowing they are brand new to the industry. I want to offer a fair and reasonable cost based on the experienced going rate !

My planner is only charging $1000 flat, but mainly because we used to be in school together and we still keep in touch.
