Happy Friday everyone!!

Let's have some fun! Lots of us here have been planning for over a year, others have a few months of planning done. Now that you've gotten some planning under your belt, what's one thing you've learned from it?

If you could give your past self (who's just started planning the wedding) one piece of planning advice, what would it be?

For me it would be: Do as much as possible early on (DIYs, gift purchasing, etc.)!! The last month will be stressful, no matter how much planning you do in advance. Once you have a vision of what you want, start your DIY, decor, etc.! You won't want to be doing it in the last month as you are following up on RSVPs, making a seating chart, and paying your vendors off!

Hopefully, this can help some community members who are just getting started in the planning process. Smiley laugh

That is annoying!! I definitely don’t have that problem, all I have to worry about day-of is hair&makeup and tipping!

****% agree with your advice. I did this and it helped so much. Now I just have to worry about the small things.

But Advice I would give my past self would be to include more people in the planning early on, but not too many. I did everything by myself (which I liked), but I am now finding everyone's opinions coming out, and its too late to change things. So just making sure people voice their opinions early on, or telling them early on " this is whats happening, if you don't agree tell me now, if not forever hold your peace" LOL

I would’ve told myself to put more money aside for our first home as soon as we got engaged. It’ll be really tight but I’m hoping we can find something to start off our life together!

The one thing I would have said to my past self would be to hire vendors that you can pay ahead of time! I hate that they all want to be payed on the day of the wedding!! It's so stressful for over $10,000 to be spent at once!!
