What's negotiable when planning a wedding??

Ive been negotiating with every vendor we book, photos, video, venue, wedding entertainment, day of planner etc. the only thing i didnt was the church itself.

Some venues would be up for negotiating pricing for what you want to get and how your paying. Cash deals may help by excluding the taxes. However, it may be the case that the owner may feel they will get audited for not taxing you. You will have to pay the full price for them to show they are doing their part.

Some vendors will be helpful to bargain their pricing based on the services provided of the packages available. Saving is a great feeling except when the vendors can't do what your asking for government wise to show.

I wish you luck in your hunting and bargaining terms hoping that the venue does give you a break or discount of any kind possible. Let us know if you get lucky with any of them or vendors.

I did get lucky to save the taxes with the videographer, photographer and DJ.

We were able to negotiate our cake, videographer and DJ services but that’s about it.

The problem with the wedding industry is their mindset is if you don’t book with them someone else will. So the ability to negotiate with vendors can be difficult.

Hmmmm with venue I would say the price isn't usually negotiable but the add ins are and maybe you could get some thrown in if you have a wedding on a Friday or something?

I think the other places that you may be able to negotiate with would be your photographer, videographer, possibly the officiant, and then the DJ as well. Basically if they are self employed then they can move the price around but if it's a company then it would most likely get you nowhere.
