I cannot remember what we served but it was picked by my uncle as he is the wine guy and was hosting us at his property.

Our venue is part of a university, so they just source their liquor from the BC Liquor Store and then mark it up. We can bring in anything we want if it can be bought at BCLS.

We are going with a Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir at each table. We have taste tested a couple of their pre-stocked options and picked what we liked best.

My FMIL and FFIL make wine so we opted for a Pinot Grigio (white) from their celler. We normally hate white but this one was so good.

Unfortunately, we didn't like any of their reds. Also, we found out our venue doesn't accept homemade alcohol so we don't want to push our luck and all our wine can't be served.

For the red, we went with two choices from our SAQ. A Merlot and Shiraz. We basically bought a bunch of bottles to sample and chose from that list. Unfortunately our favorite wine $15 a bottle) is too expensive to buy in the quantity we need. Our choices are under $10 a bottle but taste really good! So we're happy Smiley smile

We will be having a white and a red but not sure what yet. There was a post on a local buy and sell group of the best, cheapest wines, so we will probably choose one from that list!

My dad is a wine guy and both he and I really like drinking Local (niagara) wines.

Our venue offers a Red and White House wine both from Peller Estates.. I think the white is Chardonnay but can't remember the Red right now.

We opted to upgrade our wine, and add an additional Red and an Additional white to our guests.

We went with my favourite easy drinking white which is Field Estates Fireside White.

We went with my dad's pick for red which is Ridge Point 2014 Meritage.

We're going to be upgrading the wine for the parents tables and bridal party because FFIL is insisting (but he will be covering this).

We honestly just went with the cheapest house wine that they offered. We got to test it out at our tasting and it's actually very delicious.

My FMIL is making us wine. I chose three kits, a white, blush and a red: Moscato, White Zinfandel and Merlot.

We're having house wine served from our venue, they don't allow anything else. Liability issues and all that.

We are putting a red (merlot) and a white (chardonay) on the table for guests and the servers will replenish as the guests finish them.

I bottled a bunch of ubrew a year and a half ago so its been aging in a wine cellar waiting for the wedding and I have been looking for wine caselot sales since we got engaged and stocking up! So we have quite the wine selection:

    Reds:
Columbia Valley Sangiovese -ubrew (my favorite wine of all time)

    Columbia Valley Merlot - ubrew
    Cabernet Sauvignon- ubrew
Pinot Noir- Mt Lehman Winery (my other favorite)

    Whites:
    Viognier -ubrew
    Geuvertrameiner - Volcanic Hills
    Unoaked Chardonnay -Mt Lehmen Winery

We wont be putting wine on the tables, but we will have a 'help yourself' style bar so if people want to grab a bottle of their choice and take to the table they can.
