What type of venue did you choose?

A conference center that was in a neutral location with lots of activities on land and in water. Beautiful view of the lake. Just perfect for family that could be together in a lodge as others in the rooms surrounding us.

My fiancé built the arbour!

Originally, I wanted something outdoors, either in a field or somewhere just completely surrounded by nature. After we started planning and realized that that was unattainable, we adjusted our expectations and decided on a banquet hall.

We're getting married in Woodbridge, so there's absolutely no shortage of options for banquet halls, PLUS, it's just easier overall on the planning and budget. I'm still excited for it!

My fiancé and I originally wanted a historic venue; however, we ended up falling for a cute country/golf club that was more suitable to our guest size and budget, while enabling us to have the outdoor autumn wedding we discussed previously.

We are getting married at the Cambridge Mill in Cambridge, Ontario. We really wanted a mill wedding, with rustic stone walls and wooden beams - this venue is perfect! Only downside, is that I really wanted a venue with a hotel or one within walking distance, which isn't the case here. But the venue is too perfect, we decided to overlook that!

I am not too sure what the blue lights are all about, ahah. I have never seen them before, hopefully they can change their colour, or they aren't something that is a permanent part of the room.

We are getting married at the Lamplighter Inn in London, Ontario. It has an atrium for the ceremony filled with live tropical plants! Our reception is in one of the banquet halls for a elegant vibe.

Our ceremony will be at a canoe club but our reception will be at a beautiful restaurant. It is a historic property just off the water.

Grey Eagle Casino, has a hotel attached to it so if we can't find half of our wedding guests then....well we know where to find them haha

We chose a Country Club in the Niagara Falls area that has a rustic but modern feel to it! 50 days to go!!

We had our ceremony outside in the gardens and the reception in a barn at my uncle's property.

our ceremony hall is Mackenzie Hall. which is an old courthouse (built in 1855) and has been converted. the space is upstairs and has almost 20 foot high ceilings. they also have a garden for photos. and my FH is Mackenzie. so its super appropriate

reception space is your typical Italian hall (Caboto Club). this is one of their larger rooms. I love how it looks even without all that ceiling draping. and their food....YUUUUMMM!!!!!

We’re having ours in this event barn!

We chose a hillside botanical garden in Victoria, BC. The Gardens at HCP, also serves as a sort of “teaching hospital” for the local landscaping school.

It was the 2nd venue we visited and the first time we got “the feels” since getting engaged. It also helped that Megan Stacey, the coordinator was so friendly, personable and organized. The venue will host our ceremony on the grounds and our reception indoors in a pavilion with lovely views of the garden grounds. As part of the reception, guests will be able to tour the gardens on their own.

I knew it was the space for us when we saw hummingbirds boldly flying close to us to get to the feeder. My mother couldn’t come with us but they’re her favourite bird so we knew for sure it was the space for us.

Glitzy Ballroom for us!!! Something that alone stood out and we could add some accent pieces! Also the lights on the ceiling can be changed so we will have them blue!

This venue had everything to offer and the views were beautiful to look out into the water. There were activities to do on land and water. Campfires were started for guests in the night time by the beach area. The wedding ceremony site had beautiful stonework area allowing guests to see from above.

Our venue is a "camping" resort. It has a few cabins and a big pavilion with tons of land for festivities. Going for the Rustic Chic vibe.

We are getting married in front of a Victorian Home then the reception to take place ina barn our venue is called heritage park.
