What to throw?

Gabrielle, on August 16, 2018 at 21:37 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 16
We will be having our wedding ceremony outside at a family's friend house. Any ideas on what we could use that's good for the environment?

We are also doing bubbles because we cannot toss anything that will leave a "mess"

Throw birdseed. Get lots and do a bird feeder craft for the kids ...all you need is empty TP or paper towel rolls a jar of raw peanut butter, spread over the rolls..a tin pan partially filled with birdseed and roll the PB rolls in the seed. Have optional baggies on hand fto take the feeder home...or hang in trees around the park.

Yesssss girl!! Pinterest!! You can make it with literally a shredder, recycled paper and wildflower seeds! I’m so obsessed with the idea! I have a bunch of links saved, send me a message if you want, I can send them along after work 😊

Ummm what?!?!?! I love love love this!!!!! I was going to do bubbles, but I like this much better!! We're doing a lake wedding, and there's a ton of greenery around, so this paper grows into wildflower seeds?!!??!

Rice is not good for birds digestive system and artificial flowers might be a mess to clean up but the seeds in the biodegradable paper seem awesome or bubbles! The leaves would be great for an outdoor wedding as well! Good luck!

You could do bubbles, leaves, flower petals...pretty much anything biodegradable and fun!

I like the idea of bells, but love bubbles so we’ll be getting a bubble machine.

I was thinking about making some confetti out of fall leaves (October wedding). It’s easy just need a large decorative paper punch.

Something I've wanted to try doing is making seed paper, and then punching confetti out of it! That way you're getting the look of confetti, while being environmentally-conscious and even helping the bees if you use wildflower seeds!

Artificial petals since it doesn't have any effect on the environment. It will save you on bull amount.

I had dried rose petals. But my flower girl didn't end up tossing any down! I think any dried flower petals would work.

Rice. Flower petals. Dried lavendar. Biodegradable confetti. Bird seed....

You could get mini bubble blowers/wands from the dollar store, and collect the containers after to recycle them?

Or you can get little bells with a tag with your wedding/date... and then it's a keep sake and people ring bells as you're walking out?
