I also only have rough timing for now.

    4.30 - 5.00 Ceremony

5.00 - 6.30 Cocktail hours (bride and groom will be taking pictures)

    6.30 - 8.00 Grand entrance and dinner

8.00 - 10.00 Cake cutting, first dance. The dance floor will open

    10.00 End of the night.

We had to be early because of our ceremony venue, so noon was the latest option we had. We just added an after party so the wedding would still last all day!

Our ceremony is at 2pm and our reception will probably start at 5pm (with dinner at 6pm). We had a set time for our ceremony so everything revolves around it.

The plan is for a late morning ceremony and an early brunch reception.

We decided based on food/catering options. It’s tough to mess up brunch foods, but not all caterers can be trusted to pull off certain Caribbean dishes. We’re also planning a destination weekend so with brunch as an option we may be able to get away with not having to meet with the caterer for a tasting session 🤞🏾.

    Our ceremony started at 5pm!!

We spent a lot of time tweaking our timeline and working backwards from the end time of the reception to figure out exactly when we should start! Smiley shame

Our reception starts at 6:00PM but food will be closer to 6:30PM I think once everyone sits down, first dance and my dad's speech happens.

We are doing a morning (10:30 am) ceremony with a lunch reception. Since we are getting married on a Sunday in January, it seemed like the best idea to maximize the natural night and be finished early enough that if people needed to get home in time to go to work the next day, they would be able to without issue.

We decided on a 330 start time for our ceremony. Gives us and our guests a while to get ready. Then we will have a cocktail hour up until 530 when we want guests to start being seated. Then we arrive at 6 and dinner is served right away.

Our Ceremony will be noted on the invite to start at 4pm but will start closer to 4:15pm to allow for last minute arrivals to get seated, and it will last approximately 30mins.

Photos will be taken during the cocktail reception from 4:45pm - 6pm, after which we will start the reception with the receiving line, introduce the wedding party and ensure everyone seated for dinner to commence by 6:30pm.

At the tail end of dinner we will start our speeches from the Maid of Honour, Best Man and our Parents, and then go into our first dances and finally open the dance floor to everyone else. We are also going to offer board games so that those not interested in dancing have something that they can do as well.

Two thirds of the way through the reception, around 8:30-9:00pm, we will do the cake cutting, me and my FH will give our thank you speech and then the late night goodies will come out to feed those craving something to munch on after an evening of drinking around 10pm.

I anticipate the evening to conclude around midnight.

Our cocktail hour starts at 5:15 with the grand entrance starting at 6:15 and dinner at 6:30.

It's a few hours after our ceremony (which starts at 1pm), but every wedding I have been to has had a few hours in between. Gives everyone a chance to grab some lunch or go and freshen up before the party!

This is our fluid timeline right now:

    5:00pm - Ceremony

    5:30pm - Cocktail time starts/wedding party photos

    6:00pm - Hors D'oeuvres are served

    6:30pm - Wedding Party Returns

    7:00pm - Mingle time

7:30pm - Chef run action stations open (our form of dinner)

8:30pm - Speeches and first dance

9:30pm - Dessert service starts & Party Time!

Everything is taking place at one venue so we went with a later start time. Our venue is pretty different and we're having a cocktail style dinner with chef run action stations (they make and plate guests choice of food in front of them). There isn't a seated dinner so everything is a lot more fluid. Luckily I have a coordinator with the venue and I'll be counting on her to keep things on a general timeline - if something is a little off that's okay, it'll still be a great night.

Our ceremony starts at 4pm and our reception with start at 6pm. We will have games and food/drinks for everyone to enjoy during cocktail hour while we are doing our photos. Both the ceremony and reception are at the same place.
We also have the hotel on site as well so if people want to chill in their rooms before the reception they can.

Cocktail hour at 5:30pm and reception at 6:30pm. We’re having a late ceremony time (4:15pm) since we’re utilizing our photographer and the natural daylight earlier for our poses pictures.

5:00. We want to leave before 11:00 since neither of us do well on a changed sleep schedule. We wanted there to be enough time to get everything done and not feel rushed through the reception so we went with an earlier reception.

Cocktail hour at 5pm, dinner at 6:30. We wanted to give enough time after the ceremony for pictures and for people to be able to go check into their hotels before going to the cocktail hour. Our ceremony is at 2:30pm.
