I love to see what songs everyone is doing for their wedding. What songs are you doing for what?

Our Bridal Party is walking down the aisle to a string version of Pachelbel's Canon (so cliche but I just love the song so much)

I am walking down the aisle to My Girl by The Temptations

We are signing our documents to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran

We are walking back down the aisle with the wedding party to Love Never Felt So Good by Michael Jackson

Grand Entrance is to Sugar by Maroon 5

Our first dance is to There Will Be Time by Mumford & Sons and Babaa Maal

Father/Daugher dance is The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra

Cake Cutting is to Sugar, Sugar by the Archies

Garter Toss/Bouquet Toss is to Eye of the Tiger by Survivor

    We are just working on this this weekend so glad to read what others have chosen!

    So far, we have

    Bridal party entrance: Clair de lune (extended). We will start this with the moms and continue with bridal party and ring bearer/flower girl

    Bride entrance: How long will I love you by Ellie Goulding

    Registry: Haven't come up with one yet but I like the idea of doing Ed Sheeran's Thinking out loud because we used to sing that alot early in our relationship!

    Processional: Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Callait

    Entrance: undecided for both bridal party and us

    Our first dance: When God made you by lifehouse and natalie grant (this is our song it was a given it was going to be our first dance!)

    Undecided if we are doing mother/son and father/daughter dance. If we do, I don't want it to be a spotlight dance so other mother/sons and father/daughters can dance with us. For the father/daughter I like Father's Eyes by Amy Grant (my dad had a few of her records and played them when I was a child so I grew up liking her!)

    Our wedding consisted of an indian song entrance.

    Same with our grand bollywood reception entrance.

    Mother and sons dance was A mother's Song by Jim Brickman

    First dance song Truly Deeply Madly by Savage Garden

    Haven’t given it much thought, I love Bruce Springsteen so I found a few of his songs for the different parts but my fiancée will only let me use one of his songs.

    Father daughter dance- when you need me by Bruce Springsteen

    First dance- perfect by ed sheeran

    I have not really thought into every song for everything and after reading your post, I actually realized I should. The only song I have chosen as of now is our first dance which will be to "Then" by Brad Paisley. I would really like to add in "Who I Am With You" by Chris Young but I am not too sure what I would use it for.

    Hey Katie, we actually got married on September 30th and did use that song as "our song". I thought that the fast part would be a little awkward if we were slow dancing but it wasn't even at all. We didn't even notice it actually.

    I’ve been considering that Mumford and Sons song too! The lyrics are absolutely beautiful. Do you and your FH know how you’ll dance to it, mainly that part where it picks up near the end? Are you going to just slow dance through it?

    Those are great song choices! I love using Sugar as your entrance song!

    My husband walked in to "No Man Is An Island" by Andrew McMahon.

    My bridesmaids walked in to "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson.

    I walked in to "Come What May" from the movie Moulin Rouge. (My all time favourite movie.)

    For license signing, we did "Rhythm of Love" by Plain White T's.

    For walking back up the aisle, we did "Universe" by Punchline. (It's our song.)

    First Dance- "Marry Me" by Train.

    Niece/Uncle Dance (instead of Father/Daughter)- "You've Got a Friend in Me" by Randy Newman (from Toy Story)

    Mother/Son Dance- "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins (from Tarzan)

    Cake Cutting- "Loving You Tonight" by Andrew Allen

    Bouquet Toss- "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mya

    And our go to dance song was "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon!

    My bridal party walked down to an instrumental version of truly madly deeply by savage garden
    I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of a thousand years by Christina perri
    We signed documents to Glasgow love theme - instrumental version
    Our exit song was a sky full of stars by coldplay - lyric version!
    Grand Entrance for me and my husband was you make me feel by cobra starship
    The wedding party entrance was sexy and I know it by LMFAO
    Our first dance was amazed by lonestar
    Father/Daugher dance was butterfly kisses by bob carlise. I also had a step-father/daughter dance and that was my wish by rascal flatts
    Cake Cutting song was sugar by maroon 5
    We didn't do a garter toss or bouquet toss, we were going to do a bouquet toss but timewise, it wasn't working out, and so I just didn't do one. the song for it would have been man I feel like a woman by Shania twain though!

    We're getting married in a rustic/vintage style ciderhouse overlooking the ocean and it suits the space so well!! Small wedding, lots of older people who appreciate that sort of touch on the ceremony.

    You've got some great selections! I like the Sugar, Sugar one for the cake cutting. I might use that. Here's my list:

    Processional: "May it Be"by Enya

    Signing: "The Prayer" by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli (both these songs will be sung by a singer that I hired and accompanied by a classical guitarist)

    Recessional: One Love by Bob Marley

    That's all I've thought of so far.

    Thanks! We were looking for something nerdy so i googled some ideas and my FH and I were on a 10 hour drive so we just kept playing a bunch of different songs and when i put on Concerning Hobbits we both kinda looked at each other and knew it was perfect! Haha.
