My dress has no back so I can't wear anything that will show. When I got it altered they put cups in it which is nice.. just a little something extra for the girls.. and I'm wearing mid waist shorts spanx

My dress is very low back, sheer top with lace and trumpet shape. So I'll be wearing shapewear bottoms to make sure it stays smooth, I might switch to more fun/comfy bottoms for the reception later. As for the top I'm trying the bottom cups for the first time. My dress is second hand so the cups were tailored for the original bride and after breastfeeding 4 kids I could use both the coverage and lift if you know what I mean. 😂

This is what I'm having a hard time with! My dress is 1) deep V neckline 2) low back 3) mermaid and 4) crepe so no texture to hide lines!

I never thought of having cups sewn in to the dress!? That's a great idea. Do they hold even if you are quite blessed in that area? lol I'm a double D cup.

I know for sure I'm wearing spanx. Not sure if I will need a bra yet with my dress.

I'm having cups sewn in to make up that little bit of loose space, but other than that it will be sexy/cute undies. Keeping it simple.

I am probably going to have cups sewn into my dress so I won't need any of these really but I like the idea of the shorts so my thighs don't rub together.

Oh boy, I wasn't thinking about shapewear, is that bad?! Maybe I should? I'm terrified of being uncomfortable! I do own the gel cups in the last photo, and they are awesome!!!

That's a great idea Valerie. I bought a pair like these for my daughter and she wears them with every dress/skirt (no matter if floor length or mini). I got hers at Giant Tiger for like $3.00 last summer and I just might borrow them from her lol.

In a hilarious note about that situation...On the morning of my friend's wedding I cut the crotch out of her shapewear (before she got dressed) so that she wouldn't have to get undressed to pee....and we were the awful commercials of ladies holding the dress while the bride used the washroom! Her dress was drop waist and FLUFFY! Makes for some funny memories

That's a good point! I was very lucky to make it all night without using the washroom! I don't know how I would have managed it if I had gone As soon as we got to our room, I used the washroom and changed into my fun stuff. I'm really glad I did because it gets sweaty under that dress!

I don't know if I will need anything other than some fun undies. The dress has some pretty god structure on it's own and because of the dropped waist I don't want to have to take the dress off to use the washroom...so while extra cinching undies might be a plus in the smoothing department it won't be in the washroom department.

I wore the shorts like in #2 and they worked great!

My dress has a very low back, so I will need cups added to the front for sure. I want my chest kept well under control.

For the lower half I will probably just wear underwear, maybe something silly and frilly for fun, but the shape of my dress is quite forgiving, so no shapewear required!

I have a strapless dress, so likely will get shapewear like photo 3

No shapewear and I'm having cups sewn in.... so none of these for me!

Though I am looking into some little shorts to stop my thighs rubbing together all night
