What readings are you using in your ceremony?

Joey, on August 7, 2017 at 08:42 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 8

Hello everyone, happy Monday!

Last week I was curious to know more about what you have planned for your wedding ceremonies, and now I'd like to know even more. If you are having readings during your ceremonies, what have you selected? How did you choose them, do they have special meaning to you?

Check out last week's discussion here! - What kind of ceremony are you having?

I'm doing a traditional Catholic wedding. They provide us with a booklet that has marriage specific readings that we can choose our readings from, so we choose two that represent us best.

We will be having a reading or two. At least one will be a scripture passage.

For us we have the readings from 1 Corinthians chapter 13 and Ephesians chapter 5:22-33 from the bible, with a poem, our declaration of our life and love, a poem, our vows and a sand unity ceremony.

We don't have anything out of the ordinary. We have traditional vows, and then our pastor will explain the meaning of the unity candle to everyone, and will explain the meaning behind us doing communion with the bread and juice.
