What other flowers should i plan for besides the bouquets/boutonnières?

Anne, on October 12, 2020 at 01:58 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6
I’m trying to come up with my wedding budget and for flowers, is it only bouquets and boutonnières I need to worry about? Where else would I need flowers? I am not having a flower girl and centre pieces will be provided by the venue.

Thank you!

If your centerpieces are covered, pretty much the only place where you may need flowers is the ceremony unless you have a different direction you're going in. Everything else is optional as a lot of people go flowerless for decor. Also in our tradition, immediately family members (parents, siblings, and direct in-laws) also get boutonnieres and corsages even if they're not part of the bridal party.

If you only want flowers to wear/carry then all you need is your bouquet, bouquets or corsages for ladies in your bridal party, boutonnieres for the gents, and potentially boutonnieres or corsages for your parents.

We had a bunch candles for our decor this year. Every flat surface had candles and I loved how it looked! We didn't have flowers for decor at all.

Other things that people havent said you may want to consider: Welcome table, signing table, random table at the front near ceremony where people sometimes have water or programs, and windowsills if any in the venue. Also if you're doing any floral crowns.

Other than bouquet and boutonnières we are also doing.....

Flower petals down the aisle, greenery and ribbon and each aisle chair, flower arch, small flower on each plate, palm leaf under each plate, and of course the table centrepieces We will be getting them take some of the flowers from the arch to add around the reception area.

I don’t think I’m forgetting anything we have. Some people go crazy with flowers, and I wish I could lol the cost was just sooooo high that I needed to keep it to a minimum. Some people get corsages for the mother’s of the bride and groom.

    Hope that helps ☺️

Also- depending on where your ceremony is and if you want any at the end of the runner etc. And depending on where you’re getting married if you want a flower arch or something ...Kinda like the following pics.

Think about if you want decorative flowers for the head table and ceremony. We’re having some on our head table for decor.
