What made you choose your wedding date?

We were thinking of September because it still summery but not usually squelching hot so we won't broil in suits and poufy dresses. We knew we wanted a Saturday and when we looked at the calendar my parents 50th anniversary was one of the Saturdays so we decided to hold it on that date since it will allow us to gather family together and honour them as part of our celebrations.

Our current anniversary is in November so we wanted to keep it around the same time. Also, we both love fall so it was a great time of the year. We also wanted a Saturday wedding and when we were looking at dates for 2016, we found November 12 which will be 5 years and 1 day after our first date! (which was on 11/11/11) Perfect!

We wanted a summer wedding! We also wanted to choose a date that wasn't somebody else's birthday or anniversary ect to take away from their day! August 12th seemed perfect for us and it came down to availability of the venue as well as we were between two weekends in August!

I have always wanted a June wedding, and FH didn't mind that as long as it was a few weeks before his birthday so I can never combine birthday and anniversary celebrations

We were looking for June 3, but our favourite venue was not available, so we jumped another week!

We chose our wedding date based on the season, venue and our families' availability.

No particular meaning for us. we wanted early May (just because I like that time of year) but the winery we loved considered April "winter" so we got off season prices!! so last weekend in April it was!!!
