What led you to choose your florist?

Caitlyn, on October 30, 2019 at 15:27 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 11
Personally, the florist was the most difficult vendor to book. i contacted multiple florists who didn’t listen to what I wanted and demanded that I have an all white bridal bouquet, a ton of greenery and centrepieces, all things that I specifically said I did not want. Then came my pleasant surprise when I found our florist, Flowers of the World, who were willing to actually take on our vision, and they were certainly the most cost effective of all the florists we talked to.

What swayed you to choose your florist? Was it reviews or a referral? Their price? Their commitment to your vision? Photos of previous work?

I must’ve stalked the Instagram of florists for ages while looking at reviews.
Flowers weren't a huge priority for me but I knew I wanted something beautiful and unique. More than anything I just wanted someone who would respond quickly and not bail out last minute since I had several florists reschedule my first appointment with them.
So when I found out that my current florist was also super cost-effective I was over the moon!

The idea of artificial floral ball white and simple vase is what led me to the florist. The choice was simple and easy knowing that one day event wouldn't break my bank. The venue itself was set beautifully and one simple centerpiece was enough to complete the look.

I haven't found a florist yet (we've got 11 months so I'm not worried yet!) and I'm still debating if we should have real flowers or fake ones.

If I go the DIY route I'm debating between ordering from Costco or artificial and building centerpieces and bouquets. I like the idea that artificial can be sold afterwards to another budget savvy bride.
I still want to meet with a professional in case I'm in over my head!!

Yes, fake flowers can certainly have advantages. You can also keep them forever if you want.

My florist used to be part of a huge company in Niagara and then she branches out on her own. She did the flowers for my step moms wedding and we saw her at a wedding show. Her prices were way cheaper than anyone else’s, and her work was better

I'm not using a florist at all. Can't justify the price. I want fake flowers anyway I have bad hayfever issues and I don't want to be a sniveling mess on my day. I'm 95% sure I'm going to use the sola flowers and dye them myself. I'll make my own centerpieces and bouquets and everything that has to do with flowers. One good thing with fake I can take my time and hopefully make it look good.

I picked a flouriest who deals only in artificial flowers.( i was going to diy but it was horrid) the owners of this little place opened up for me on a day they are regularly closed put my bouquet boutineers and corsages together in less then an hour as a mock up and they where AMAZING! She listened to my vision asked if i wanted her to do it or for her to show me how to do it at home! Plus its a great keepsake!

Really, I only chose her because my mom used her for her wedding a few years ago and recommended her and was tired of contacting vendors at that point.

My florist ended up offering to do my decor as well and was the best price wise for our decor!
