We're doing ours on a Friday I was worried about it because most of our guests are coming from out of town, but so far everyone has been happy to hear they have an excuse to take a long weekend. It gives us the rest of the weekend to spend time with the guests too, before heading off on the honeymoon on Monday!
Thursday Afternoon! We did get some "Why Thursday?" We chose it because it was our 5 year dating anniversary! Funny - the people traveling from out of town love the idea! People in town are the ones complaining!
Saturday for me. Most of my guest are from out of town so it'll be easier for them to attend on a weekend. Most of them are coming Friday and some Saturday morning, my wedding is at 2pm.
We’re getting married on a Thursday! A lot of our guests are from out of town or have never been to Toronto so we wanted to have the weekend open to do things with out of town guests and things are a lot cheaper on a Thursday.
Were getting married the saturday of labor day weekend. My step dad insisted i book my wedding on a weekend he had off work (and that was the only one he had off in september). Now our guests are having issues because its the long weekend. Whatcha gonna do?
We are getting married on a Saturday. We thought about doing a Sunday Brunch wedding, but we nixed that idea pretty quickly, when people were telling us about having to host an "after-party".
Saturday. Evening (4.30 ceremony)... We picked super off-season (January 19, 2019), where it's literally the most "depressing" week of the year (Blue Monday is Jan 21)... so we are defs partying it up mid-weekend, making a spectacle of it... then running off to our honeymoon straight from the reception!!!
Saturday! It made the most sense since I’m winter it’s the same price no matter which day, and for our guests most of them won’t have to work the next day so they’ll be able to drink and have a good time and not have to worry about waking up for work the next morning
Already got one "Oh! 😱 You're getting married on a Sunday!?" (No idea why that was, she's non religious, but I guess it's because of traditional days, since she's really into that)
Sunday! Even a year plus out, we couldn't get a venue for a Sat in Sept that met our basic criterion. It's okay the wedding is 5 hours away so it's a destination for everyone and they need to take time off anyways
