What colour should my bridesmaids wear?

Kristen, on October 29, 2018 at 15:10 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 9

I'm having trouble picking a colour for my maids! All of my wedding decor and florals will be a very neutral colour palette (creams, pale blush and greenery for florals, wood elements, some terracotta, etc) so I'm a bit stuck on what colour they should be wearing. I know that a neutral is the obvious choice (leaning towards grey) but would it be weird if I had them in a dark red or purple?

I think since you're on the cusp of summer and autumn, you could put your gals in a warm, deep colour and it would look just right.

I think a burgundy or "wine" colour would look neat! You could tie the pop of colour into the groomsmen attire (tie colour) or boutonnieres to avoid having your maids be the only pop of colour!

I'm all for a soft grey/neutral dress. but that's cuz I love it.

if you are looking at david's bridal. you could always look at chianti or quartz. I feel they give you the pop of color. but would match well with the creams/terracotta

Theme is like, rustic garden party? Hahaha. Everything will be very natural and neutral.

I was instantly going to say a deep red!! I love soft subtle colours in weddings with florals and things and then a BURST of colour coming from something (in this case the bridesmaids dresses) do you have a theme at all that you can kinda play within too?

I love when bridesmaids are in a dark colour, it's super flattering, and it really makes the bride "pop". I think a complimentary colour to your palette, but much darker (purple, sangria, etc), would be awesome.

My girls are in navy, and they are going to look so sleek.

You could always incorporate the pop of colour in being the groomsmen's boutonnieres and the bouquets?

I was thinking of 'wine' and 'sangria' from the David's Bridal colour chart as a two toned option. I just don't know if its strange to have my maids as the only pop of colour at the wedding?

I think that the red might be a bit much but love the idea of a dark purple Smiley smile
