Our must haves met our expectations:

Water and land sports for family to keep entertained

Water view for the wedding ceremony

Patio connected to the reception area and lots of sunshine coming through the windows

Excellent service with cocktail hour, sit down meals served and late night buffet. Wine served during the dinner time.

Isolated area that is just beautiful and nature filled view and a beach with a campfire site.

All of the family that came loved the place and had a new place to stay in a lodge being together enjoying time with the whole family.

We chose The Gardens at HCP sin Victoria, BC.
They have about 3 ceremony sites within and an indoor pavilion for the reception.

    Victoria or Vancouver.

Garden, greenhouse, or view with water.

    Indoor and outdoor options.

Reception & Ceremony in one place.

    Outside catering permitted.

Right vibe (we'll know it when we see it).

I thought the place with the greenhouse would be my first pick, but the garden won our hearts instead. As we walked around, we were in awe and kept talking about how much my parents would like it (they weren't with us on the tour)...and hummingbirds were flying all around (my mother loves hummingbirds), and it's on the hillside overlooking a little lake, and for us, it was awesome. (the first time I officially got the wedding feels)

Beautiful views, within the GTA, both indoor and outdoor options, and ability to cater to dietary restrictions.

Our biggest must have was all inclusive. Best way for us to save money. Our venue supplies all the decorations, food, open bar, linens etc.

Same venue for reception and ceremony: that way guests didn’t have to travel.

Beautiful on its own. I’m not super flashy, so I wanted minimal decorations etc. And our venue is beautiful without having to add anything

Honestly, I just wanted a banquet hall that had good food at a reasonable cost. I was lucky that the one we picked is gorgeous inside and out, and has amazing food as well.

I wanted somewhere that was well within city limits. I didn't want people to drink and drive home cause cabs are harder to get out of town, nor did I want them to not drink with me.

Another must was that we were able to have both the ceremony and the reception in the same space. This was a major cost saver!

We wanted outside alcohol, it gets really expensive when the venue provides it.

This was not a "must" but ABSOLUTELY a reason we booked where we are: we have an amazing view of the downtown skyline at the back of the venue where there is a patio area.

My only musts were that it must have ceremony & reception space and both must be indoors as we’re getting married in November and I don’t want to be cold 😜

    Our must-haves were:

Same venue for ceremony and reception (different sites though)

All-inclusive so we don't to rent everything

    Tropical-like spot for ceremony/photos

Could provide a chocolate fountain - that was my FH Smiley tongue

My only must-have was to feel magical when I visited it. And without even being set up, I went to this gorgeous outdoor venue that just felt perfect. So happy with my choice.
