What are covid brides doing instead of dancing?

I'm thinking of yard games and tables games but just curious what everyone out there is doing for fun since dancing is out.

There are many fun creative ways to make an evening work apart than dancing. Games are great to break the ice and bring guests closer at celebrations. Jokes/Stories are another way to share moments about the couple between speeches given.

We played the shoe game, which was quick and easy...perfect while the cake was being served.

My husband and I also created a ridiculously awesome pub quiz. We had 5 rounds, 6 questions per round with one bonus question in each round. The categories were subjects that we're particularly interested in, but the questions were incredibly varied, not just based on our personal experience. It was a TON of fun to see how all the tables did (we had 5 tables, with a total of 20 guests). Everyone had a lot of fun, especially with the bonus questions (this was individual, so if they knew the answer, they had to be the first in the room to stand up and answer correctly to win). It got pretty competitive! The prizes were $5 gift cards for the bonus questions and $25 gift cards to various stores for the winning table (1 per person).

We were also able to dance, with with an older crowd with lots of single people, we knew that games would keep everyone entertained, with lots of dancing in between.

Covid made wedding planning incredibly stressful, as I'm sure you'll all agree, but it forced us be very creative and I know I've never been to a wedding like ours!

We're indoor so we're thinking of game show style games using AV equipment like family feud.

We had an evening dinner on a Sunday so everyone was perfectly content with eating, chatting and leaving at a decent hour to go home. No one even missed the dancing.

We were lucky and was able to have a little bit of dancing. But we hired a belly dancer and drummers. Our wedding was outdoors so everyone kind of left around midnight which was perfect. I would definitely do table games but I would make sure you have a box of pens so they don’t share pens. I mean your wedding is also a year away I’m just thinking what I would do now...
