That’s a neat idea ... I like these I just invited to reception but this is definitely a better way ... I hope your planning is going well

I am doing a lot of DIY - a lot of this stuff I have done already or have already purchased (I bought chargers for about 1$ a piece, and will sell them afterwards, for example). The only DIY I have to finish still, I think, are the flower girl dresses and sewing the 'bling' extenders. The wedding party, other friends and family are helping with folding the napkins, escort & seating cards, a couple of the signs, and all the food stuff (rehearsal, bridal suite snacks, cupcakes, etc).

Thanks for the reminders on some of the other stuff, as well. I had most of it, but not on the master list - Bathroom baskets are on another of my lists and on my 'To Do' monthly timelines, but not my master list!

Our card box is done actually - I DIY'd (big surprise, right?) a cheapie 'trunk' into a treasure chest we can use with some sand, a big seashell or two, and a small sign.

A pack up list is a good idea - thankfully, we don't have to pack up until Sunday afternoon (we have the hall til 6 pm that night - an important detail as I did not want anyone to have to tear down the night of!). Definitely have to add that.

Vases were something I thought of but forgot to add to any of my lists, thanks!

Our dinner is a taco buffet, so no need to worry about dinner choices, phew!

I have gifts for the wedding party, but will add gifts for others (set up help, etc) to my list!

We could sadly only afford to have a portion of all the people we'd love to have attend for dinner. So, we are officially inviting others to 'crash the wedding' starting at 8 pm (after dinner is done, when the party is happening).

Definitely have to add the music selection - we have to use the music director at the church, and meeting with him is part of our pre marital counselling requirements.

Yes - I've taken apart my mom's wedding dress, and am using parts of it to make her granddaughter's flowergirl dresses.

Wow, looks like you’re doing a lot of diy! That’s great! Seeing flower girl dresses? So cool! I had to double check when you’re getting married because that seems like a lot! Have you considered renting some of the stuff? Chargers I know are about $.65-$1 in Edmonton. That’s all I had to rent but there are other things on your list they would rent to you as well.

As for other things, What about...

    Pen to sign licence

Music-processional, bridal entrance, song during signing of register, recessional, grand entrance to reception, first dance, other special dances (like parent dances)

Snacks during photos ( I would put this as a must! And water! Seriously, have someone hand you water bottles all day. I was so dehydrated!)

Bathroom baskets or similar emergency kit for wedding party (not necessary)

List of everything that gets packed up at the end, what stays at the venue, and where everything should go (whether someone will take it home, the venue will hold on to it for the night, etc)

Card box ( don’t think I saw this on your list)

Vases for bouquets ( if having them during the ceremony, somewhere to put them during the reception. We had ours in vases on the head table)

If you’re doing plated dinners and guests have to decide ahead of time, mark a symbol on their escorts cards and communicate with the caterer for easy delivery of plates

Confirm with caterer that they are providing meals for those with allergies ( friend thought she had done this but the venue messed up and claimed they hadn’t received the list so had no gluten free meals)

Arch or decor at the front of ceremony space

Thank you gifts for any friends involved in the wedding (wedding party, anyone helping with set up or clean up)
