Welcome Package

Aside from something maple, it's difficult to think of anything that won't be tacky lol. You could always throw in mini bottles of Canadian Club, some Jones Soda, and something with a Mountie or a beaver on it lol.

As one cousin started this tradition in our family, it has carried on throughout the weddings attended.

Every Welcome bag is put together by the couple on what they feel is them. For our wedding, there was something for everyone to enjoy and canadian aspect was the chocolate loonie & Maple leaf clip for the name card on the gift table.

The Welcome bag for us included:

2 granola bars

1/2 organza bag filled with mixed nuts

5 Canadian loonie in another organza bag

2 water bottles

Information package to let guests know areas of events and timings.

The Maple leaf clip is something that my brother sells and used just to give that nothern touch for having family and friends attending. Maple syrup is a nice idea of the Canadian feeling to welcome them or as a favour for reception.

Maple syrup is typical and good idea- you could also see any local homemade items that relate to your town? Some people do the key chains.
