Hey everyone

I am looking at paying for the premium website on weddingwire for my guests to RSVP. I have searched around on the free option a bit but I am a little confused. In the rsvp section guests have to search their name which I'm assuming is added by myself on "Guestlist" on weddingwire front page. When I add a guest there is an option for a plus one, however if I am adding someone where I don't know their plus one's name how does that work? It won't let me add the plus one without writing their name.

Is there an option for guests to choose their entree as well?

    Hello Chantel!
    I did not pay premium for the website. For your guests to RSVP, you can the link their plus one to the main person. In this case, when the main guest RSVP, the plus one’s name is there as well. So as Hank mentioned, add as “Person’s Guest” for now. If you know they are planning to bring a plus one, you can ask them their plus one name and make the name change.

    I don't use the wedding websites via Weddingwire. The UX is not my favorite. If you like the templates the free one offers and don't care for a fully customized URL, then I think the free version is fine.

    Okay thanks for your help! Which version did you purchase and would you advise one over the other? I noticed there was only two differences in the two versions.

    You need to know who their plus one is. Wedding wire won't let you add blank names. You can add their name as "Person's Guest" but it's better to get the name in advance and add it to the system yourself. Maybe the premium version allows blank plus ones but I'm not sure since I don't use it.


    Yes, guests can choose meals via Weddingwire. You have to set up the meal options in the menu.
