Weddings Postponed - How were your florists?

Sadie, on March 27, 2020 at 22:19 Posted in Plan a wedding 1 2

I am wondering what others florists did when weddings have had to be postponed.... we had some flowers that "apparently" could not be stopped in shipping... this is ok and understandable.

I would like to know what other florists have done during this time?

We did not have anything put together yet she believes she is entitled to $1400 over this horrible time.

Please help and let me know how you would handle this.

She is so kind but yet this is the biggest blow even from our amazing venue.

My heart is broken and not only on the 13th of March did we loose our wedding date my job was put on a mandated shutdown.

Did you have a contract? I would review it and see if there is anything about deposits that aren't refundable or transferable.

If you're postponing I would think that any deposits would be transfered to your new date. If you had to cancel I could understand that they may need to keep the money.
I'm sorry to hear about your job. Hopefully this situation isn't going to last much longer and we can begin to return to normal soon.
