Wedding Website Question

Vanessa, on May 2, 2019 at 14:42 Posted in Tech support 0 2
Hi all,

I have a question about a wedding website. My wife & I were married in an intimate desert ceremony last week. We are hosting a casual, backyard celebration in July.

We are gearing up to send out physical invites via snail mail. Instead of having guests return their RSVP via mail, we are wanting to place a link on our physical invite to our “wedding” website where guests can e-RSVP.

The only issue we have is the fact that WW or The Knot uses the verbiage “the wedding” on the RSVP form. I am able to change the name of the event to “our marriage celebration” but regardless of that, the verbiage on the RSVP stays the same, “the wedding.”

does anyone have any suggestions? We do not want this labeled as a wedding what so ever as that isn’t what it is. Although our guests know we were married last week, we just don’t want to label it as a wedding.

Thanks!

    Hi Vanessa!

It sounds like it's the event name that you're seeing in that RSVP form (since the Guest List tool and the website RSVP are linked). The Wedding event that's automatically set up in your Guest List tool can't be renamed, unfortunately. I would recommend you actually create a new event in your guest list, and name that "Our Marriage Celebration", and add your guests to that event instead of the "Wedding" event. That way, they'll only be prompted to RSVP for "Our Marriage Celebration" instead of "Wedding".

    Hope this helps!

Adjust the phrasing to Wedding Reception so that all your guests will be aware your not having an actual wedding, just the after celebrations of your marriage. Some websites have a way of solid statement that can't be changed unless worded by you to change how you want to be said.

That would be the suggestion I have to avoid any confusion for your guests to understand what your celebrating.
