Wedding Vows

We did traditional part of the package we got to choose from.

I’ve always imagined writing my own vows to make the ceremony extra special. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to keep it together when the time comes lol but it’s always up to you!

We are writing our own vows!

We plan on just saying the traditional vows at the ceremony but writing our own to share with each other either in the days leading up to the wedding or maybe the day after once everything has settled down!

We thought about writing our own, but it was much easier to just go with pre-written 'repeat after me' vows. Our officiant had a package she sent us with different ways we could personalize it and we chose the options we wanted, which was time consuming enough for us!

We wrote our own vows and kept them secret until the ceremony. I wasn't sure I would be able to get them out but I am happy that we didn't just repeat a standardized vow set.

We are just doing the traditional repeat after me vows! Less stress and anxiety to make sure the wording is perfect. Plus my fiancé wouldn't go for the personal vows (maybe by ourselves he would but he wouldn't do it in front of a crowd).

I like the idea of a personal love declarations followed by traditional vows.

I have thought a lot about this! On one hand I like the idea of personalized vows that include special memories but on the other hand I love the traditional vows that have been said by generations before me. Another thing to ponder on about... good luck with your choice!

We did both.
We really wanted to write our own vows but we are extremely shy.
We wrote each other vows and gave them to each other just before the ceremony. Then during the ceremony our officiant just made us repeat the traditional vows. It worked out very well for us.

We want to write our own vows! I feel like that is much more special and personalized than being told what to say.
