Wedding Timeline

We are having the ceremony and photos during the cocktail hour and then the reception. our ceremony and reception will be at the same location.

I use both this app and the knot. In the other, they have a timeline option. Really helped. It's easy to change and you can email it to your bridal party right from the app.

I really like your idea of having some time for just the two of you (and the photographer), I'm worried about getting lost in the excitement of the marriage and this will allow us to have some time together before everything! Great idea!

Our wedding timing was 12 hours:

1pm: outfits and details shots
2pm: 1st Groom family getting ready time
3pm: 2nd Groom family getting ready time
4:15pm: Wedding walk in
4:30pm: Ceremony
Pictures
6pm: cocktails
6:30pm: Reception
Pictures of Entrance, Cake cutting, First dance and dance shots

We're having a morning ceremony so mines a little earlier.
9am-getting ready photos, wedding party photos
1030am-go to venue
1115am-ceremony
1145pm-bride and groom /family photos
130pm-reception and lawn games

Morning getting ready-dont have a timeline for that yet.
12:00 meet at ceremony location for first look and photos. Will do all wedding party photos before ceremony.
1:30-2:30 me and my FH will go for a walk just the two of us (and photographer) through some forest trails at the ceremony location.
3:00 ceremony
3:30 family photos
4:00/4:30 cocktail hour at reception starts (reception location about 10-15 mins from ceremony location)
5:30/6:00 dinner and speeches
7:00-7:30 dancing!

Have you booked your photographer yet? Ours has definitely helped us build a skeleton for our timeline, based on what types of pictures we want and how long it'll take her.

I don't have a first look, so my time line will probably look different to yours. I am going to try and do some of my family photos and my bridesmaids only photos prior to the wedding though.

9AM - Start getting ready (Hair and Make up)

2PM - Limo picks up girls and deliver to venue (I have a bridal suite there and i'll put my dress on there/take some pictures)

3PM - Limo picks up boys and delivers to venue

4:30PM - Ceremony Starts

5PM - Cocktail hour (all our stuff is at the same venue) and Pictures

6PM - Start sitting and kick off the reception!

First look at 2ishpm, ceremony at 4pm, cocktails 430-6, dinner at 6ish, open reception starts at 8pm

We are not doing a first look but we are going a letter exchange on opposite sides of the wall (so we can't see each other) just before the ceremony.
2:30ish-Ceremony
3:00-5:00ish: Cocktails and photos
5/5:30: dinner and start of reception followed by dances and party till about 1am! And probably around 9/10pm we will have our late night snack bar open.

Your timeline is exactly the same as mine lol except we’re most-likely going to do our family photos post ceremony pre reception
