We thought we were above wedding stress, but the reality is it's inevitable.

To help, we've been doing premarital counselling to help us lay the foundation for dealing with the stressful situations that will come our way in the future.

I only get stressed when people voice their opinions too much. I go back and forth from not wanting to hurt someones feelings to I dont care im doing my own thing. but my FH has been very helpful in the sense that Ill tell him what I need him to do and he does it. ie) I don't like making phone calls to the vendors (idk why I just don't haha) so I ask him hey babe can you call these guys and ask all my questions and he'll take care of it. but with details and whatnot he wants me to have the wedding of my dreams so I can plan everything haha Smiley smile it works for us.

I definitely have moments of stress time and time again. I get over one thing then something new in planning comes along, you’re not alone! Anytime you need to vent the Wedding Wire Community is here. I try and take a break from planning when it happens, walk away, I focus on work or I read a book... not wedding articles or blogs. I find that’s what works best for me.

Initially we were extremely stressed, but the closer we get to the date, the less we stress Smiley smile

I am in the exact same situation! I've started telling people that if someone put me on an island I could plan the entire wedding by myself stress free. But it seems like I am getting everyone's opinion except my FH's and his opinion is the only one I actually care about!

Its all part of the planning process. Little things will be looked at different views and raising voices occur.

Just look at the task at hand and compromise where you too can be on the same page. Come up with alternatives to the task that work close to the concept if that does help.

Details are always the touch to the room and outlook at the end of the day.

You're definitely not alone when it comes to wedding stress! My FH is pretty laid back about everything and says whatever I pick will be good, but it'd be nice to have an opinion on some things!

Meanwhile my parents are overly opinionated with things, saying I need to do _, have _, which is also stressing me out.

You are for sure not alone. The only thing that helps my stress is the millions of lists I have. All the big stuff is booked, but now it is getting down to more details, and my FH is just so chill about everything and thinks it will just happen. lol

Sooooooooo stressed. Actually even more stressed out by how little my fiance is stressed out. He thinks it will all just "come together"... um, not how it works, pal.

I am definitely feeling the stress now...we are 65 days away. FH and I aren't fighting but the 'to do' list keeps growing and is overwhelming me. I keep feeling like I am forgetting to add things to the list...also there doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day or days in a week haha Luckily my FH has been as helpful as he can be. Still though...I feel like the stress will be here to stay until the day of- I know in the end everything will work out though Smiley smile

Yuuuuuuuuup! You're not alone in that!

I find that what works best for me and my Fiancé is to reserve one day a week to talk about wedding stuff (unless something comes up like for us - a videographer got back to me with a really great price and I wanted to book ASAP!).

Same here. No fighting, but my FW is always thinking about money (even though we have enough) and we end up arguing about it.

Totally! I think the key is finding a good balance between turning the planning switch on and off! It's not because you're planning a wedding that the rest of your life is on hold.

If it's getting too stressful, to the point that you and your FH aren't enjoying it, then it's time to take a break and do something you both enjoy (date night in or out, watch a movie, etc.)!

I'm feeling stressed too. People keep asking me what I think and all I can think, is I don't know! I find that when things are getting overwhelming, if I stop and focus on the fact that everything will work itself out, eventually, and it will all be ok.
