Wedding process/planning

Would ceremony and dance only be a bad thing? Or does it have to be ceremony reception and dance..
We just want a justice of the peace and basic simple easy which is fast enough to do but it's the after stuff that's killing us in planning .. food & party.

Not a bad thing at all! Do whatever makes the two of you happy. have a couple snacks for the lovers of food, and some drinks for when they get out of breath. Bam!

You can also time the entire event outside meal hours. Something like 2-6pm should be more than enough to cover arrivals, ceremony, picture taking, and a casual dance. That way guests have no expectations of a meal, they can leave for dinner and you're free to do whatever you want that night with your FH.

I would absolutely let your guests know that there will be no food if that is the route you're going with so they are prepared and not starving the entire night. I would at least serve appetizers imo

I would for sure let your guests know that you are not serving food. At the very least, maybe you could do some appetizers?

If you're hosting a wedding with no food, be prepared for your guests to leave early. Even the most fun dance party won't be enough to keep guests if they're hungry. And you have to let them know that food is not served in advance.
