Wedding Planner?

Are you hiring a wedding planner, even if it’s just to touch up a few things on the Big Day?

The venue comes with a "day of coordinator", but we still hired full-service wedding planner.

We went with a full-service WP instead of a partial one for a few reasons: (1) No stress when it comes to reaching out and following up with vendors, (2) Negotiations can be made with vendors and so far we have had discounts for all of them, and (3) He sometimes work more than 12 hours during the busy periods at work and I work 12 hour shift work - day and night shifts.

The team we went with has been a helpful bunch and so far we have saved almost the same amount as we paid them. On the day of the wedding, there will be three of them as well!

Have booked a day of coordinator so that we wont have to worry about setting anything up or organizing things on the day of but planning myself. I organize events at my job though so I feel well prepared and am excited to design and organize the day myself Smiley smile

I'm considering a day of coordinator to keep things organized on the big day. If it's within our budget, I think we'll probably go ahead with it.

We didn't hire a planner of any kind. You don't really need one. We had everything organized and just asked our wedding party and family for small amounts of help the day of.

I will be having a month of/ day of wedding planner. In case you were wondering about pricing - we will be paying a total of $1000 and this will get us: 2 consultations before the wedding as well as timeline and schedule preparation. As well she will be there the day of to help out with the vendors and our wedding in general to stay on track.

No planner for the touch ups done the day before the wedding. All bags were seperated to put out as needed.

I have a day of coordinator that comes with the venue, other than that I’m doing everything myself with a bit of help from my fiancé and my mum

I have decided to hire a wedding planner because I just don't have the time during the day to deal with vendors and don't want to give up my entire summer and devote all my free time to a single day (yes I know it's an important one but it's still just one day).
I was getting a day of coordinator no matter what cause it's really important to me that family just relax on that weekend. So no set up, no coordinating vendors and payments, no trouble shooting, no picking up flowers, etc. Just show up get dressed up and then take a breath and enJoy the day.

Nope I’m not hiring a planner. I’ve been there done it before lol. When I got married the first time (19 years ago) nobody hired wedding planners or day of coordinators. Reading stuff and listening to pod casts now I find it funny how the “industry” is making people think they need one.

I honestly can’t think of what a wedding planner or wedding coordinator would actually do for me?

The venue we chose comes with a day of coordinator and my FH and I figured we could do the rest ourselves and save a ton of money!

Not so much a planner but a day of coordinator so that I don't have to deal with the items that may potentially go wrong.
