Wedding night?

Andrea, on July 3, 2018 at 09:52 Posted in Honeymoon 0 18
We won't be going on our honeymoon till 3 days after the wedding.
I was wondering what some of you do or are planning to do for your wedding night and also where you're planning to stay till you fly to your honeymoon.

We are staying in a hotel the night of our wedding (the Saturday night). We do not leave for our honeymoon until Monday night, but our home is 4 hours away from the airport and my parents only live 15 minutes from the airport, so we are going to stay with them on the Sunday night.

We are leaving for our honeymoon on the Tuesday after our wedding. We are spending two nights in a nice hotel, and one night at home before we go. Spending one night at home gives us a chance to do laundry and pack, rather than trying to pack everything the last few days before the wedding.

We are going for a mini-moon and staying at a nice hotel after our reception. Honeymoon will be later in a few months when it fits our schedules.

We are staying in the hotel where we have a block of rooms reserved for our guests for wedding night. I will also be staying there the night before the wedding so that way us girls have a space to get ready in during the day.
we have a 2 room suite (a bedroom and a living room). our hotel does a discount when so many people book under the block. so will be worth looking into as well.

We are leaving early the next morning for our honeymoon, so we are staying at a hotel near the airport. The wedding is within 30 minutes of our home, so if we had a few day gap, we would probably still get a nice hotel room for the wedding night, for something different, then go home until the morning we leave for the honeymoon.

We went on our honeymoon almost 6 months after we got married. We stayed in our rented trailer the night of the wedding and stayed at our venue for a few nights and then just went home and back to normal.

We're getting married in a couple days, but not doing our honeymoon until September. However, we did want a couple nights right after the wedding so it didn't feel like we were going back into regular life immediately.

We're staying in a fancy hotel in Toronto for two nights Smiley smile

Were getting married next may and probably won't go on a honey mood till that fall!
Our venue is attached to a hotel and we get the honeymoon suite for free for a night! I bumped it up to 3 nights so we can enjoy some rest and relaxation after the weekend before we go home!

We're planning to leave for our honeymoon a few days after our wedding too, so we're talking about staying in a local hotel for our wedding night, then stay at our home until we leave for our trip.

I believe that that would fall under a night from July 3rd even though it would be checking in after midnight. Perhaps you could give the task of checking in to the hotel to a wedding party member or family member and they could pass along the room key? As well if you mention that it's for your wedding day night some hotels actually throw in a complimentary bottle of champagne or rose petals for the bed?

Using your example, you would book for July 3rd. However I would call the hotel to make sure you could check in at 1am and maybe explain your situation.

I have another question, that may sound very stupid... Smiley xd

Say if your wedding is July 3rd and you are leaving your reception 1 am the next day..
would you make your reservation for your wedding night accommodation on the 3rd or 4rth?

In terms of booking a room it makes a big difference in $$$, when I am looking online there's an option to say what time you will be checking in... Smiley atonished
(we won't be able to check-in till right after the reception)

We're staying at a bed and breakfast near the venue. We don't have honeymoon plans just yet. But I would like to leave a couple of days after the wedding.

We will just be cabbing home at the end of the night. Our venue is only about 10 mins away. Itll be like a vacation though because my brother who lives with is wont be coming home that night! Haha.

We dont leave for our honeymoon until about 2 months after the wedding.

Our wedding venue has 3 cabins and one of them is the honeymoon suite so we will be staying there on our wedding night. As for our honeymoon we will hopefully be going right after but we will see what we can afford at that time.
