Wedding Music List

I'm trying to get an idea of the different music/songs I need for for our ceremony and reception. I've made a list, am I missing any obvious ones?

1. Bridal party entrance

2. Bride's entrance

3. Signing of the documents (optional)

4. Recessional

5. First dance

6. Daddy/daughter dance (his mother has past away, so no mother/son dance. May also combine this as the first half of our first dance.)


I also have a list of "must play" for our reception but I don't care when they are played as long as they are played at some point. Do I need music before the ceremony? For our entrance to the reception? Am I missing any musical parts of the ceremony?

    If you want you can also add a song for cutting the cake, one for the grand entrance into the reception, and a final song of the night. All those are optional but could be fun to pick out

    I think that is a pretty great list. If you are doing some of the more traditional elements, like people here have mentioned, you may want to consider some tunes for those parts as well.

    You could have the groom dance with your mom

    The other options include:
    a) music for your guests pre ceremony
    b) wedding party and/or you and your FH entering reception
    c) cake cutting if you're doing one
    d) first song for your guests to dance to (start the party off right)
    e) last song of the night (to close on a high note)

    We also have a couple songs for the prelude and postlude. And a song for the reception entrance for the bridal party and a different song for our entry into the reception.
