Wedding March

Tyanna, on June 16, 2018 at 14:04 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 26
When it comes to the ceremony, the only thing I know for certain is that I dont want a traditional wedding March. I think that I'd prefer a song, but am having a hard time coming up with something good. I've considered All of Me by John Legend and Memories of Us by Keith Urban but I'm wondering what you're all doing for yours?

We're having my FH's cousin and his girlfriend sing and play guitar for us. I think we're going with Found a Heart by Emily Hearn.

I've downloaded about a hundred spotify playlists of all instrumental covers of songs to try to find inspiration, it is so hard! But I'm working through it, I listen to them on my commute and have been slowly but surely narrowing down as I go!

We won't have music at our ceremony since its outside and in a weird spot, so setting up A/V would have been too difficult. However, I'm having the ceremony videoed and played back prior to our entrance, so the music for that will be Take Us Home by Alan Doyle, and then our entrance song will be September by Earth Wind and Fire. Our first dance is Sam Cooke's You Send Me.

My partner and I picked a song that represented us. Maybe the one that was almost your first dance song could be used.

Right, these community convos are the best. And everyone is so helpful. Having this app has made planning our wedding so much easier and I’ve gotten some really great ideas.

That’s a good question! I’m still figuring that out too. I know I’ll be narrowing down a fave song of mine (too many to count!) & either playing an instrumental version of whatever I choose or original, if it’s soft enough/works. Sounds like you’re already narrowing down some ones that speak to you, so I’d say you’re off to a great start!

What a great question, I asked the same thing earlier this week. We’re still looking for an option but you tube and Spotify have been helpful for sure. Smiley smile Please keep up posted on what you choose.

I’m using a cover of Bon Marley’s “I Wanna Love You”.

    All of Me is beautiful.

Spotify is a great resource. Consider instrumental versions of songs as well.

I would suggest searching out instrumental versions of songs you like. I found a nice piano and violin version on "a thousand years" that I'll be using.

We're doing "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman, but using the violin cover of Alison M. Sparrow
If you'd like something in between or not per se with text there's some really beautiful instrumental covers of All of Me too?
