Wedding invite- enclosure cards/details

Becky, on January 30, 2019 at 11:14 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 10

Hey everyone!

Some info regarding my wedding- ceremony at a church, cocktail hour and so forth at a different location. I am doing the wedding website as well!

I have the invitation with the ceremony as the main info on it. Then was going to include a reception card to include the next location and directions on it as well. Since I am doing the website, should I make the rsvp card but put that information on it saying please rsvp at (website name)?

Any suggestions would be appreciated !

I would make the rsvp cards and put the info for the site saying to either rsvp there or by mail if they prefer to mail that card in.

We did a wedding invitation and a details. The details included where to RSVP, and the information for the reception. We have had no issues with anyone RSVPing on the website or having confusion.

Your information sounds great and to send by inserts in your card. If your having the same info on the website, include the email in highlight for RSVP reply with the meal choices to confirm their details. It creates less work and more information to read clarifying venue details, timing, locations, maps and dress code.

2 cousins that had their wedding did the same and put the events with dates and times at the location. 1 of them had bus transportation arranged for about 400 guests to and from all venues to the hotels with meeting times.

I like that! I'm having 3 inserts too:

Invitation - ceremony and reception in same building so no need for a separate card

Details - this will include hotel room block, wedding website, etc

RVSP - we have reserved _ seats in the honour of _____. and meal options included.

Right now I have the below drafted

    Invitation- ceremony only on it

Reception- this has second location with directions on it

RSVP- this has wedding website on it and few details- example no children said nicely.

Thought could have a nice ribbon to connect it all together and put in envelope.

I would do a separate RVSP card with no additional information on it. Even if you have your guests RVSP on the website, some may mail a card to you and the not have the reception info.

I think that if you just move the whole thing up the littlest bit then to add the address of the reception would look fine.

But with how formal you are making your invitations I would have a separate card for the RSVP with the wedding website listed on that as well as it noting that the directions can also be found there.

I currently have a wedding invite made, however because I wrote it formally it takes up more room for the date. I wasn't sure if it looked too cluttered with both address on it. I didn't even add the second address on it yet just the location. I wasn't going to post anything on the back of the invitation as I don't think people will remember things are on it. I never look at the back just the front.

What about something like this where it has both addresses on the front?

Instead of Reception you can put "Cocktail hour & reception" and if it isn't immediately then you can add the time after the word follow.

Then on the back you can put a picture of the map.

As for the RSVP I would put it on a separate card just because it may look too cluttered but try editing your invitations to see how it looks (the picture I included has been moved around and I added the second address line's)
