    We had:

    1. our names

    2. invite them to the wedding

    3. date, address, time

    4. reception to follow or at diff. time and place

    5. 18+ (we didn't want any underage drinking or to deal with annoying kids which our families have tons of kids who don't listen...)

    6. RSVP by ___

    7. For more info on hotels/shuttles/attire go to the wedding website ____

    Hi Ashley,

As others have said don't forget to add a stamped return addressed envelope.

If you have a wedding website add your address as an insert to forward all questions too. Otherwise you can add separate inserts for driving, meal choice, hotel stays, and other details you have.

if you are looking to have a matching suite, don't forget to order the menu cards, escort cards, thank you cards and wedding programs, if you wish.

Note, never add your registry information on your actually invite. Directions to your wedding website will handle that problem.

For our wedding invitation insert it has our parents names, our names, ceremony location and time and reception location and time.

We then have insert cards for RSVP cards, hotel cards, maps, etc.
We just designed ours today so we’re super excited!

    Hello and welcome!

I agree with Amelia that a wedding website is a good place for a lot of information. Registry information in particular should go on a website (or word of mouth if you are not having a website) rather than on an invitation.
In terms of advice, remember to have them weighed prior to mailing so you know you have the right postage on them, and if you are having the RSVP cards being mailed back, remember to put the stamp on before it goes in with the invitation.

    Welcome to wedding wire Ashley!
Be sure to include who, what, where, when! RSVP deadlines and if there are meal options what one they've selected. It might be a good idea to have a line about allergies on RSVP meal cards too. If you're doing mailed RSVPs you'll want pre addressed and stamped envelopes included as well to make it easiest. I'd also include a link to a wedding website if you have one. That's a great place for registry details and anything else that needs to be said (whether kids are welcome, if there is a dress code, maps taxi & hotel recommendations for out of town guests, etc)
