Wedding invitations

Sierra, on January 9, 2017 at 13:20 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 15

I a trying to get a realistic budget figured out and was wondering what people used for their weddin invitations, whether they fond a stationary store near them or ordering the online, what were your preferences? did you find a major price difference? Anything helps

Vistaprint is pretty versatile they have a lot of ready to go designs, you can also upload your own (etsy has sellers with designs or you can have some one customize something) or vistaprint will also help you design your own. Vistaprint will give you the option of plain envelopes or matching ones and then if you go with one of the ready to go designs there are also all sorts of coordinating items like seals, pens, magnets, signs, programs, menus etc. Chelsea has actually ordered from Vistaprint and hers are gorgeous. I am still indecisive about what I want.

Thanks! They are surprisingly easy to make (just need a paper cutter, ruler, pencil, glue and a punch for the deisgn on the edges). I just found a template online and tweaked the measurements to fit what I wanted. The whole process took me a weekend (then another few hours when I decided to add the ribbon later)

This is very similar in style to what I am hoping to find, I love that you can send them out all in one, and it is so nneatly organized. They are beautiful.

Hi Emilie, so far we have a rough guest list of about 115 people and the list is still growing. i think we are going to cut the number off at about 130 people. Our colours are likely going to be pink and grey, I really want smpleyet elegant invitationsthat will make a statement when people see them. Something with folds and cut outs. I have found a few design on pinterest that I like but still want to see if there is anything local that we can look into.

I use vistaprint for everything! There are options on there for designing your own or you can choose any of there designs - which they have hundreds to choose from! They often have random promotions for anywhere from 25% to 50% off and if you type in the promo code you will get the deal. When you order from them you also are given a promo code sent with your package and it is for a discount of 20 or 25% off which you can use toward future purchases! They also come very quickly in the mail and I have never had any issues with wording being messed up or it not looking how it is supposed to! I havn't ordered my invitations yet but I got my save the dates, thank you cards, jack and jill tickets and envelope seals from there so far and we plan to get our invitations from vistaprint as well but we need to finalize details about the ceremony ect first.

Here are some photos of what I have purchased from there!

They don't unfold as much now, we altered the design but it's similar! They were free because my FMIL had the supplies but they're about $1 each!

Ooo I love lace so those sound pretty! If you find one you really like on Etsy, you can order a sample so you can see it in person. Wedding Paper Divas also does invitations and Minted has some really nice ones. Minted can be a little expensive so it's good to wait until they're on sale! We used them for our Save the Dates and are probably going to use them again for our thank you cards. (Minted also offers you a free wedding website that matches your invitations.)

I did not know that Davids Bridal did invitations! I will have to look at those. As fo Vista print. Do you have to design them yourself? have you found there a more limitations wth vista print as I would like y invitations to fold. What about envelopes? Do they include customizable envelopes?

I am still a little unsure ofthe style I am looking for, I find that I like simple yet elegant styles, nothing too busy. I LOVE lace and really like that ones that fold in on themselves as well. A lot of the invitations I have pinned on pinerest have either a lace band around them or they fold with cutouts. I took a look at etsy and found a few that I like however am unsure if it willl be what i really want in the end. Hoping to find an all in one package of some sort that would include Save the dates, wedding invitatins, RSVP Cards as well as important information cards.

I'm still looking, but I am kind of going back and forth between Etsy, Vistaprint and David's Bridal. If we decide to go with Vistaprint if you order during one of their sales some of the invites are under 50 cents each, including envelopes.

I found my invitations on Etsy and they were much less expensive than going to a specialty paper store. Michaels also has some kits if you want to print them yourself and if you sign up for their online coupons, they have new ones every week so you can get a good deal! What sort of style are you looking for?
