Wedding Invitation before Shower Invites go out?

My mom was quite shocked that my shower invites were going to go out before save the dates or invitations (I had to have my shower about 5.5 months before the wedding). I hadn't been planning on doing save the dates, so I did an electronic version and sent them out about a month before the shower invites.

If you did a save the date, I don't think it matters which goes out first, the shower or wedding invite.

I'm going to make a new post as soon as I can. I have much bigger issues with our Invitations now... I will make a new post as soon as I can wrap my head around this. I've only been able to share with my Mom who was thankfully here beside me when I received an email from the Invitation Lady, my Fiance & 1 of my Bfs. I'm so upset, shocked & embarrassed even though this is not my fault.

Sending out the shower invitation with the wedding card would sound fair to save on postage and to have your functions separate. The one different adjustment I would say is to put the shower invitation in a envelope with the individuals name on it so they know it for them to attend.

There isn't any right or wrong in this case since you already have your invitations coming your way soon and to put them separate spending that extra postage mentioned or as one and to the same household address.

Doesn't matter if the shower invites go out before the invitations.

as a bridesmaid i have sent out bridal shower invites before the bride sent out wedding invites LOTS of times. you are fine.

Personally I have never heard of sending out the shower invitations before the wedding invitations but I can see it making sense as the shower does take place before the wedding right?

For myself I will be sending the shower invitation in the same envelope as the wedding invitation but with the female's name written on it (no boys allowed!).

I don't think it matters what order you send the invitations on, my bridal shower was in June and our wedding is not until March so we definitely planned that in advance.

Since we sent out Save the Dates, we’re going to send out our shower invitations first before the wedding invitation.

Our wedding is end of May and we just finished sending out wedding invites! Havent even thought about shower invites yet lol... I feel like a shower is a lot less planning for people to come so I wouldn't worry about trying to get that out first!
