Wedding Highlight Video

Hank, on September 24, 2021 at 14:13 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 2

For those who are opting for a wedding video, what do you want to see in the highlight? If you were to direct your own 3-5 minute video to send to your guests, what would you want in it?

Some examples I've seen include footage of the couple reading a letter to each other at the beginning while they're getting ready. The first look is usually captured if the couple has one. A lot of companies stage shots of the bridal party playing around and frolicking, which tend to be used as b-roll. And sometimes people opt for super simple and just have footage play over their favourite song.

So is there any quintessential or pivotal moment that you feel needs to be in a wedding video?

Video highlights can be anything you want in the order you put it. I have seen many with just functions and guests enjoying themselves as the couple is the main focus and showing them of their moments and their wedding celebration. There are glimpse of the couple's first look, wedding ceremony moments and first dance along with guests surrounding them.

We are not doing a video but I've seen some really beautiful ones. The vows were really well done. I think they also did a bit of voice over with music to describe the day from their perspective. The best parts of the speeches, the first moment they see each other. I think the music had a lot to do with how well I was.
