Wedding Favours, budget friendly

Rachel, on December 23, 2020 at 09:14 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 9

My fiance and I are trying to keep to a tight budget and are having a hard time finding wedding favours that we like and fit in the budget. Any help would be appreciated.

Favours being edible is better if you feel you want guests to enjoy some sweet or savoury treats after dinner or take home is fine. They can be packaged or in a organza bag with a Thank you note is a small appreciation from you two.

Another ideas as mentioned is giving towards charity under the guests name provided your names are given for donation of your choice. This can be for a family member that had certain cancer or issue that matters to you both.

This option is given as suggestion, an actual gift that is useful such as candle or drink mix (hot chocolate mason jar) is nice to enjoy at home. I know for us Indians giving away nice gifts are common though some don't do this as we are close and are there for the celebrations.

If you HAVE to have a favour, something edible is usually cheap and appreciated by most guests. And if they forget it, at least you can enjoy a bunch of cookies/chocolates instead of being stuck with 100 personalized wine glasses.

If you have a photo booth, that counts as a favour in my book since guests are taking home a memento something from the wedding.

We are skipping favors. They are an unnecessary expense.

For a minute I thought about buying a personalized cookie stamp on Etsy and making sugar cookies as favors.

Definitely a thing of the past! My now husband and I just donated to a charity close to our hearts and our MC announced in lieu of favours we donated.

Oh thank goodness, I'm glad to know that they are becoming a thing of the past. I've been stressing out trying to figure out what we should have as a favour thinking that I HAD to have them.

    Goodbye to that idea!

I’ve notified a lot of people leave their wedding favour behind. That’s why some people consider excluding this from their wedding. However, if favours are a must for you, perhaps you could bake something (maybe with a family member or a friend) and wrap it in a cute bag with a thank you thank. If you baked your own cookies, that could be super cost effective. You could get the little cellophane bag and thank you tag from the dollar store.

You don't have to do favors if you really don't have the budget for it. My fiance and I aren't doing them. Most of the time people forget to take them home at the end of the night
