Wedding favours?

Alex, on January 13, 2022 at 13:56 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 16
Hi Everyone!

My wedding is coming up quickly and I am struggling to figure out wedding favours. I am getting married at the ancaster mill in September and I am anticipating around 140 guests. Does anyone have any suggestions? ☺️ Please and thank you!

No problem! Another one that I think is lovely depending on where you are getting married of course... is a tiny tree or plant with a little sign that says "watch our love grow"

Hi! My parents used to be DJs for weddings. And one thing we have noticed that people positively reacted to the most is food to take home. I remember one family made homemade jam and it was a hit!

Thank you so much ☺️ It would be great to do something like a succulent or sugar cookie but they can definitely add up. Thank you for the suggestions! ☺️

Hey there! The ancaster mill is gorgeous! congratulations!!
For favours as a cost friendly option we are considering hersey kisses in a small paper lantern or other sweets (cookies etc), i was considered personalized sugar cookies, or succulents.
As a more expensive option we were considering giving everyone a small metal lantern with a candle inside and some chocolate.
We’re still up in the air as well!

We are looking at maybe doing a photo booth. A fun way to interact with your guests too and they have something fun to do and photos to remember the night.

Edible favors are always a good option. I've gotten custom cookies at my BIL wedding (great for a late night snack haha)

I think the best thing to consider is "would I like to receive this?" or "would I use this again?"

I've seen couples make their own wine from Wine Butler (but I'm sure there's tons of alternatives in Niagara) and gave their guests individual bottles of wine with a custom label. We did something similar, but with beer instead of wine. Including bottling and labeling, it was around $2 per bottle.

Or you can get the little boxes and put a couple lindt chocolates in each. They go on sale often $45 for 150 chocolates and $30 for 100. If you got boxes that fit 2 it would cost around $1/pp or less depending on price of boxes. Makes your own thank you tags if you have a printer....

My fiance and I have opted out for giving out favors. Spending money on something that half the time guests forget to take home is a waste of money in our opinion that could be used elsewhere. But if it's something that you and your fiance really want to do then I say do it!
