Wedding dress dilemma

Samantha, on October 21, 2017 at 09:19 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 13

Morning everyone!

I'm having a dilemma..

I have a very small budget, 8 months to my wedding, and was thinking of buying a dress online (via amazon or etsy). Has anyone else done this/wanted to do this? Any tips??

I second going to David's Bridal - they have great prices, deals and as Ashley said you can always get a bridesmaids dress in white!

Try davids bridal. They have dresses you can get in white from their bridesmaids section and some of them are absolutely stunning!

Also check out Opportunity Bridal -- they have dresses that were priced in the 1000's for under $900 and they have some beautiful options! They travel around Canada - and are only in town for 1 day but might be worth checking out!! I got mine for $600 and was originally OVER $2000

I'd also suggest checking out David's Bridal! You can still try the dresses on in person and they have inexpensive options, and the dresses come quickly!

Where in Ontario are you located? I have seen beautiful wedding dresses at Value Village and Salvation Army for $60.00. You just have to get them dry cleaned. I found my daughters dress at Salvation Army and it fit her perfectly. I bought my dress from Penningtons (tea length ivory lace) for $45.00. The bargains are out there. You just have to look.

JJ’s House is always great quality and a perfect fit. I attend a lot of Gala Events for work and have ordered 8 dresses from them.

Also you can check out clearance sections at stores like Davids Bridal. I bought my dress brand new off the clearance rack for $250. I didnt look at too many dresses to know what the average price on the rack was but i was so excited when i found out how cheap mine was.

I am actually going to a wedding dress pop up on Nov.11 with the possibility of winning a dress for free!! I definitely am going to second dance, I've been in before and saw some beautiful pieces.

I will try to avoid online. Thank you for your help, Lisa!! Smiley smile

Before you go the online route, check out Facebook pages etc. Also there is a consignment store called Second Dance in St. Catharines and Sixpense in Guelph that have gowns on consignment. Also LeChateau has a bridal collection now. Laura's at Mapleview has a Bridal section too! I would exhaust all your avenues you can before ordering online. If you don't care about quality and material then online could be a route for you, but personally I wouldn't .
