Though one of my bridesmaids from Ontario wanted to see my dress so I tried it on yesterday and took a picture..but I've gained weight from blood pressure pills. I'm panicking. I will have the last fitting 5 weeks before the wedding.

Deep breaths Karen!! You've got tons of time!

You should schedule your first dress fitting for 2-3 months before your wedding date. Make sure to bring the shoes and undergarments you'll be wearing on your wedding day with you so that your dress can be fitted properly!

I second this - they'll have the best timeline for you to have fittings done.

I know it's overwhelming. The best thing is to works from a list. You'll feel such a sense of accomplishment as you cross of the things that are done. Have you booked your venue and catering yet? Next is the officiant and the music. Get these done and then you can focus on details. We are all willing to help if you need us.

Definitely, check with the seamstress. You don't want to get it done too early either in case your weight fluctuates again (up or down).

    Thank you Sonja,
It's so overwhelming, I have no idea what I'm doing anymore with all the planning and 6 weeks just doesn't seem like enough time to me.

Check with the seamstress of your choice first. She may say that you should wait until 6 weeks before the wedding to get the final fitting and give her/him enough time to do the alterations.
