Wedding day timeline

Kelsey, on June 4, 2018 at 15:10 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 6

Can I have some inputs on the time line i have created?

morning- getting ready (have not made hair appointments and such yet)

1-2pm first look photos, and group photos

2:30 grooms men set up chairs in venue

3pm: ceremony start

3:30-45: ceremony end/guests' socializing time

Travel time from ceremony to reception (hotel block is about 5-10 min drive from reception space)

5:30-6 :into to couple in reception space

6: dinner+socializing

7-cake cutting, dessert table opens,

7:15-7:30 : first dance

obvs im okay with changing stuff, i have never been to a wedding so I'm looking for some advice if I'm on the right track

As everyone said, see what the photographer says. But overall it seems like a great timeline!

One suggestion would be is the groomsmen to set up the chairs earlier as you get the first look shots done. This way the group shots can be taken right after.

I fourth the ask your photographer bit! Luckily for you, they've been to lots of weddings and honestly are the biggest help for timelines!

Only thing I see to be concerned about is the groomsmen setting up chairs. As mentioned prior, guests will arrive ten minutes early at for the most part. Is 20 minutes enough time to get all of the chairs set up?

Definitely ask your photographer, they know best!

And a little piece of advice: I'm a hair stylist and salons book up fast for weddings! We are already booking I'm to next summer for weddings (not including mine) so I definitely suggest booking hair and makeup soonSmiley smile

Check with your photographer. Some have a policy for one location per day.

Ask your photog if that is enough time for all the shots you want based on the location you are taking them, mine is asking for 2 hrs with just us (and about 30 for the family and bridal party) as we will do some varied locations on the property.

People also tend to start to arrive 30 min prior to the ceremony time, so you want to just be sure they aren't still setting out chairs and any other décor or its a bit awkward for the guests.
