I agree with everyone else. It depends upon what style of wedding you really want and whether you want to wait it out for a year or two? Sometimes waiting is a good thing, especially if you just recently got engaged. Enjoy being engaged, it's fun! Smiley smile If you have been living together for awhile and have been engaged for a while and "just want to do the paperwork" as some people call it....why not November? You just have to be happy with your day and be able to look back and say wow, honey, I loved our wedding day and I still love you!

There is no wrong answer date to choose. Your option is to have a small wedding and have a reception celebration with a full guest list in the next year or two. Your day should be special to you both being the original choice of you choose.

If you want a 200 person wedding with the traditional buffet and open bar and dancing then I would wait.

But small weddings are doable! We had about 20 people including our officiant and photographer for an outdoor ceremony and then had a small reception at my parents house. Next year we will try for the big party!
    And welcome to wedding wire!

If it's just you, your partner, the officiant, and two witnesses then no, it's not bad to get married in November. Our immediately families combined are 9 people and we're in each other's bubble so if we needed to get married now, we can do so in and include our immediate family + an officiant in our house and we would be doing it safely while abiding by the rules. You can make arrangements for it to be perfectly safe to get married so you can start your lives.

If you're looking to have a banquet wedding, then I would say it's a bad idea especially with how things are in Quebec.

I think it depends what you want out of your wedding and what sort of compromises you're willing to make.

My wedding has been scheduled for November 28, 2020 since we got engaged in December. We're going ahead with the ceremony no matter what even if it's just us, the officiant and two witnesses, but our plans regarding literally everything else have changed multiple times. I guess the only way we would postpone is if either of us or our officiant contracted covid, but let's hope that doesn't happen!

If you just want to get married and you don't care about all of the other things then I say why not get married this November. However if it's really important for you to have family and friends there or to have a traditional ceremony or reception, then I'd say you're probably safer scheduling something in the future - summer would probably be your best bet because then you can have it outdoors and it's less risky.
