Wedding ceremony & wedding dinner

Sarah, on June 5, 2017 at 22:49 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 5
Is anyone having their wedding ceremony early in the afternoon then later in the evening have their wedding dinner. If so do you plan to wear your wedding dress to the dinner or will you change? My ceremony is at 1 but dinner is not until 6! I'm not having a reception as it's a small intimate wedding. Should I just buy a simple elegant white dress for the dinner?

It's really what you feel most comfortable doing. It's your day, so do what makes you feel best. Personally, I paid a good amount for my dress, so I'm going to wear it until it's time to take it off Smiley winking
Not sure if you already bought your wedding dress or not, but there are some that convert into a shorter dress, so that you can have the beautiful wedding dress, then take the poofy skirt off and have a shorter dress to dance the night away in. One of my friends had a dress like that and it worked out great.

We are having a cocktail hour followed by a reception at the same location of our ceremony, so I don't have a gap. However, I personally can't imagine changing outfits...I love my dress and want to show it off since I'm only going to wear it once! I know my friend changed dresses halfway through the reception as her other one was for her Chinese heritage, but she later told me she wished she had just kept it to one dress. I say that you need to do what makes you the most comfortable! Smiley smile

Hi Sarah, my reception is one hour after the ceremony. But I'll be changing cause I don't think that I could dance with my dress. It is really up to you in what you more confortable with.

It is completely up to you... My dress is heavy and poofy, its going to be difficult to dance in but I'm wearing it all night, lol... Our reception is right after the ceremony... If we had a big gap between the two, I might have gotten a second outfit.

I think it is up to you for the outfit! I have a friend who is getting married in the afternoon and then having her dinner and reception in the evening. She will be wearing two different outfits. If you would feel more comfortable in something else for your dinner and reception that is totally your perspective. I don't think people will mind.
