Wedding bands - matching or not matching?

It depends on the definition of matching, but they will look like they go together. Both will be 18 ct yellow gold with a mill grain edge. Mine will have ~14 diamonds on the band and his will be plain.

Not matching my band matches my engagement ring band exactly (bought in a set) and my partner is leaning towards a wooden ring (which we will replace regularly 'cause he will assuredly lose/break his).

Matching rose gold but two different styles

Ours won't match at all! Mine will be white gold with diamonds inlayed (an eternity ring) and his will be plain yellow gold. But we will match by having our wedding day engraved on the inside of the band.

I think we’re going with matching bands!
My engagement ring isn’t part of a set and I just find there aren’t many rings that compliment it so why not match my husband?
(And the sales lady did suggest getting a more bling-y ring as an anniversary band down the road which I am not opposed to hahaha)

We did not matching bands! Mine is a thin diamond band and his is thick and plain. His is tungsten carbide so it looks silver and mine is white gold so they look like the same metal but that's it

Matching in terms of metal (FH is suuuuper excited about rose gold, thinks it goes really well with his olive skin lol) and both will have a hammered finish. Mine will have a slight curve to sit hugging my engagement band, but his will be a simple ring shape.

Ours won't match!

I've opted for a super simple thin rose gold band and he's going with a silicone ring! Though, I'll also get a silicone ring, for when we travel or go camping/hiking!!

Ours don't match at all. Mine is white gold with a twist pattern to match my engagement ring, and he opted for a straight edged yellow gold band. Sometimes I wish they matched, but it was more important to me that he get something he liked, especially considering that he dislikes jewelry and he was not 100% sure he'd even wear the ring after we were married (although I'm happy to report that he does wear it!)

We haven’t gotten ours yet! so im not sure but I know what my band will be like and my FH can pick whatever he wants, we don’t need to match - he just needs to like it and wear it! 😂

They match a little bit. Both yellow gold. We wanted the same metal.

I don't think ours will match in the sense that they're from a set. Mine will be much thinner to match the thin band of my engagement ring and they'll probably be different materials. But they'll both likely be silver in colour..

Ours are different! Mine matches my engagement ring (a white gold band with diamonds and a curve) and his is black tungsten.

Ours are both simple and classic, in white gold. His is a plain band with a thin diamond cut edging, mine is a skinny band with micropave stones. So they don't match exactly but they do kind of go together.

Ours are so different. I don't really care for being matchy-matchy, so we both found what we like and are going with that. Mine doesn't even match my engagement ring!

Ours will hopefully look like they match, he is going to get etching on his wedding band so that it looks like mine, but the birthstones will be mirrored for mine to have his on the opposite side and his to have mine on the opposite.

Ours match, but we didn't go in saying we needed matching rings, it just kind of happened. They are both white gold with a band of diamonds in the middle!

I don't think our's will match. My engagement ring is white gold so I think I want a white gold band. He seems to want a yellow gold band and then engrave it to look like the Lord of the Rings ring . He's so cute.

I love our combo! He knew with my engagement ring that I REALLY wanted the 3 stone with 2 sapphires! When we went shopping for his he wanted a black tungsten ring and we found one with a blue ring in it to match the sapphires! He loves it and so do I!

We did matching in a way- he wanted to get rose gold like me with the band. So both rose gold- mine has diamonds and his has a diff design.
