Wedding bands

I'm starting to explore some options for a wedding band and I would love some inspiration!

My ring (pictured below) is a solitaire oval with a plain rose gold band and because of the shape I'm stumped on what style of band to go with.
All ideas are welcome!! And photos are encouraged, let's see those rings!!

I have an oval & gold ring as well that’s custom made with some leaf shaped details as well. The designer of my ring offered me a hammered gold band for $900 which was much too bland and unsuited for my taste.

I ended up getting a diamond band with a mix of round and baguette shaped diamonds for $575 at Michael Hill. I can’t wait to wear it everyday! It’s very thin and seems to add a little extra sparkle. It’s a plain gold band on the back though so I can technically flip it around if I want a simpler band.

I just got my wedding band yesterday and I LOVE it so much! We had it made by the same person who made my engagement ring, so it matches perfectly. Unfortunately I was only allowed to try it on to make sure it fits, and now it is hidden away until the wedding! Can’t wait to be able to wear it all the time!

The slimmer wedding band would look nice with your engagement ring. The overall look with give your diamond the centerpiece to appreciate. The look of it being curved or underneath can work based on the design.

I have an oval engagement ring too and wasn’t sure how to get a ring that wasn’t pushed away from the band until I saw this ring with a gap in it and diamonds on either side. It fits around the diamond beautifully and I love how they look together 😍 both are from Brilliant Earth

I have a round diamond and I chose a curved wedding band. It sits underneath it but since it is curved you can still see it!

I like the shape that Christiana suggested! That's what I had pictured as well.

I went with a thin plain white gold band. I bought it during our lockdown when stores were closed and I was really frustrated with shopping from the big jewelry stores online. Etsy was way easier to deal with and far more affordable. I found they had way more photos of the rings on people's fingers which was a truer representation of the widths and details.

It's a gorgeous ring. A marquise style band will give your ring look like a nice elegant and antique look. As long as you keep your band small (2mm width), it won't taking away from the shape of your center stone.

Your ring is gorgeous! Smiley smile

What sort of profile does it have? Is it high enough that you could have a plain band with it or do you need to find something that will sort of contour it?

I think a really simple band would look nice and let your ring shine. But I also really like contour styles and I think they're more unique.

I personally went with a contour style because my ring is too low profile for anything to fit snug against it. My centre stone looks a bit smaller than yours so you'd probably need something a bit more contoured but I think it would still be really nice.
