When is the best time to buy wedding bands? are there sales during a certain time of year? How many months in advance?

Our wedding was in September and I think we started looking around April?

There's no written rule though. If there's a good sale on Black Friday or Boxing Day, I say go for it. Wedding band styles don't change too much, and you'll find pretty much the same stuff at every store.

Most jewelers we went to kept saying 6-8 weeks in advance. Our bands are just simple plain gold so we ended up ordering online from a jewelry store called Mejuri.

They're a Toronto based jewelry designer much like the clothing brand Everlane that focuses on sustainable items with little to no markup.
    Best decision we ever made.

Our jeweller advised to purchase the rings at least 8 weeks in advance. But we are probably going to buy earlier if we see a sale Smiley laugh

We're waiting for the big Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales at the end of November to buy ours! It'll be 10 months in advance but we're confident we won't change our minds Smiley smile

I wouldale sure I had them ordered about 2 months before the wedding at the latest. That way there is a little extra time for resizing or shipping delays.

If you've got time definitely shop around! Black Friday is a big thing in Canada now, so there might be good deals at the end of November. I imagine prices go up closer to Valentine's day.

We got ours at peoples during a sale. Since we were planning so far in advance we were able to keep an eye out for the deals. But keep in mind like Chelsea said that if you don’t fit the standard size it takes a couple weeks for them to size it.

We’re planning on getting my FH’s Wedding band pretty shortly, I did find out that unless you fit the standard ring size, which I believe is a 10 for men and a seven for women, you do have to order the ring in so they recommend anywhere from 8 to 6 weeks to allow the ring to be ordered

Maybe I'm ignorant but I always feel like things are cheaper on Boxing Day lmao. I always saw deals at the jewelry stores on boxing day... 60% off, etc.

We're going to a jeweler my FH knows though so they're cutting us a deal in store.

We found that going to a jeweller was cheaper than a store - highly recommend doing that! Otherwise they tend to have different promotions all the time, like right now at People's there is 20% off on engagement rings and wedding bands.
