Do you wear your engagement ring 24/7? I take mine off to sleep and shower.

I take mine off when I'm at home. Only really wear it if I go out or go to work. Although I do work in a lab it could get in the way at times if I wear gloves, etc. Thinking of getting a silicone band after the wedding for sure! Smiley smile

I’m so surprised to read how frequently people takes theirs off! The only time I take it off is when I’m handling raw meat. I’m a vegetarian so I really
Don’t want any meat stuck in there lol

I actually only wear mine on special nights out. I can't wear mine to work (residents have fragile skin) and I just don't remember to put it on daily. That's why I'm so excited to wear my wedding band soon. I had it made so none of the diamonds would be sticking out so I'll be able to wear it all the time.

My fiancee takes hers off at bedtime, showering and sometimes while cooking or cleaning. Makes sense because you don't want food or cleaning supplies getting into the ring or scratching/damaging it.

Definitely take it off during sleep and shower. As well as doing dishes or at work (I’m a contractor.) it’s about half a size too big so it would be slipping all day.

I take mine off to shower and when I work out. However more recently started taking it off when sleeping since I'm finding my dry winter skin is getting irritated under the band and I like to let it breathe.

I take mine off when sleeping, showering, doing dishes, using cleaners around the house, and working. But, I work with chemicals and have to wear nitrile gloves for protection. I would never want to puncture a glove and burn my hand as a result, or wreck my gorgeous ring!

I have two other rings I wear on my right hand. All of my rings come off while I'm baking, doing dishes, showering, doing heavy cleaning (like toilets), putting on lotion and sleeping.
Taking your rings off keeps them in tip top sparkly shape, and less chance of damage to stones/prongs.

I have a ring holder on my night stand and one on my china cabinet in the dining room. When they come off, they always go on one of the holders, never by a sink or anywhere else, even for a moment because they could be bumped or moved or forgotten.

I might be in the small minority here but I don’t wear mine often, at least not right now. I’m still working from home everyday and also working on a lot of house renovations where it gets in the way. I do try to put it on when I leave the house, but find it’s a little annoying when I’m wearing gloves. Im sure I’ll get used to it over time, it’s only been 1.5 months.

I take it off anytime I shower, wash dishes, use my cuticle oils/lotion, workout, and play soccer... or as others stated when meal prep involves hands getting down and dirty! When playing soccer, I wear a silicone ring, as I feel so weird without a ring on!! I was lucky to find a "rose" gold one when Showcase was clearing them out, so it was only $2

I wear it when I go out and only take it off when I’m washing dishes, shower and sleep. My diamond gets caught on everything even my sweaters so once in awhile I see threads in my ring (it’s a princess cut and the prongs are sticking out)

NEVER, NEVER EVER! It's my most precious little trinket. If I breathe it breathes along with me. If it falls down the toilet I dive in after it. Commitment is KEY.

I really only take mine off to shower (but I have always taken my rings off to shower) and if I'm like making some food with my hands (like burgers or something) I've gotten so used to it, I feel naked without it, even if I'm sleeping!

I didn't know it was so common to take it off often - my fear is to misplace it. I just take mine off when I apply lotion

I take mine off to shower, workout and when im cleaning. I wear mine sleeping but I'm a pretty still sleeper so I'm not too worried about it when I'm sleeping.

I do the same, take it off to sleep, shower, cook and wash my hands. It's habit though before being engaged I would take off my rings.

It's pretty common to not keep your rings on 24/7. I take my wedding band off when I do things like cooking or cleaning so no gunk gets embedded in it. Same goes with washing my hands or showering so no soap residue gets trapped between my ring and skin.
