We Need Help!

Cheyenne, on September 19, 2017 at 11:49 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 5
Hi! We are in the beginning stages of planning and desperately need help! We have decided to be married in a civil ceremony (we tried to plan an actual wedding but decided it just wasn't for us) and hope to have a bbq/ bonfire type reception afterwards for all of our friends and family. Any recommendation for places to rent? We are looking in the London area, and would love a park like setting that has a liquor license (byob), a designated space for a fire, and enough room for at least 100 guests. Any help would be much appreciated!

If your trying to "book" any type of space and liquor is involed, you will probably need a liquor licence and likely a permit of some other kind. Your only way out of that is a private property or possibly a camp ground (I've never been camping at a camp ground so I don't know the rules)

We aren't actually interested in having the reception in a park, more of a private area that is park-like. But I will keep that in mind, Thanks!

Don't forget to get a permit from the city for the reception. If you have it at a park, I believe you'll need to get a permit and liquor license yourself.

Yes, we'll be married that morning at city hall. That is the only thing we've booked haha. We have considered that and have a couple properties in mind, but if those don't end up working out, we'd like to know we have another option that is affordable and meets our needs!

By "civil ceremony", do you mean you are getting married at city hall and then having a reception for everyone?

If you know anyone who has a 2 acre property it would be a nice place to celebrate and since it is private property you do not need to buy a liquor license.
