We purchased some good quality sealing wax and a seal from Artisaire (who are actually Canadian btw), which is the first wedding things we've bought!! I'm excited to incorporate seals into our save the dates and invites.

Try it out givent the budget set too. It goes well and looks as you like, proceed with the idea.
Alternative is sticker seal to give the same idea just flat look.

We had an inner envelope that was waxed seal and our outer envelope did not have them. You have to pay for oversized stamps but they travelled well and guests loved the added touch.

I've only ever done seals on prop envelopes for a play, and they turned out really cool. I would do a test and see if the wax bleeds or stains the paper, and definitely splurge on good wax (our trial run used crayons and it was a disaster!) You can get it at Michaels or from most of the stationary websites.


If you still want the look with less fragility you can find some stickers that are raised like wax seals, or even just beautiful monogrammed stickers with your initials.

I did! I got a little bit of a bigger envelope to send them out but no troubles at all!
